Who Inspires Us
Penny Brownlee– has spoken to us about understanding we need to take care of our own heart and body as teachers so that we can be 100% present for the children with an open and peaceful head, heart, and hands. Her workshops have always been enhancing our understanding of Emmi Pikler's approach in our daily practices Her books ‘Dance with me in the Heart’ and 'The Sacred Urge to Play: Unfolding Your Child's Intelligence, which explains the reason behind warm, loving partnership between adults and babies, Dancing with the heart of connectedness. Supporting a child’s Imagination, Creativity and Joy for life ultimately results in their Heart intelligence and Heart coherence
Dr Emi Pickler – with "the relationship is all. It's a matter of life to the child." and "respect is key to baby development." Has Inspired and led our understanding of Respectful and Trusting Relationship being the foundation for every relationship in our life, by supporting this style of relationships of care between the adult and child, follows free movement, free play, and respectful caregiving moments that the relationship is WITH the child.
Kimberly Crisp– Kimberly’s workshops have always been enlightening, inspiring and full of beauty. her understanding of Emmi Pikler's approach and including rituals through the rhythm of the day into daily practices. We are really impressed by her knowledge, her passion, and her ideas.
Her belief that every moment can be a learning experience has actually made us look deeper at areas of play differently. She's really an inspiration. Nathan Wallis– our teaching philosophy is inspired by Nathan Wallis, who explores the development of young brains and how neuroscience can be better, when having nurturing interactions with tamariki in the first 1000 days. As it plays a critical role in defining later outcomes for our tamariki and for their future ‘Children are born to connect’
