Events
We have two key events in the year that bring our whānau all together.
The first is Matariki. An evening of wrapping up warm. getting together and celebrating our centre.
Matariki is a time of new beginnings and so this marks the time in our year, where we invite whanau in to share soup and bread made by our tamariki, to share aspirations for their tamariki and for our centre, and we use this information to help inform and set our strategic plan and whole centre enquiry. Last year, Matariki saw the beginning of introducing our new name, Nurturing Hearts. It also started our reflection of where have we been and where are we going with our sustainability focus.
The second key event of the year is our Summer Get Together. This is a chance for katitaki, tamariki and whanau to picnic in our garden. Our tamariki love whanau getting together and bringing their special people from home and centre together. It is summery low key fun. The focus is on winding down, sharing plans for the summer, taking a warm deep breath and relaxing.
There are gifts, but Santa does not come. He is way to busy getting ready for those who welcome Santa into their homes. Gifts are from the Nurturing Hearts team.
