I have a Bachelor of Education and enjoy new professional development seminars. I am a predominantly hands-on manager. Teaching and the tamariki always come first, as I really believe in leading from the front and being where the children’s experiences are taking place.

I live close by in the Waitakeres. I enjoy spending time with my children experiencing the bush and beaches close by, or gardening and working on the family house like my grandfather did with me when I was little. Locally, I am volunteer fireman, and have been for the last twelve years, attaining qualified fire fighter, pump and driver ranking. This makes our fire evacuation practices at Nurturing Hearts super fun. They are a biug monthly event, as TJ the fireman puts out the fire and teaches the tamariki to commando crawl through pretend smoke and obstacles.
